Who We Are

Christian

We hold to the tenets of the Christian faith and seek to follow Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

Bible Believers

We believe that the Bible is the very Word of God, inerrant and infallible in the original manuscripts. We further believe that the Lord through His preservation and watch-care has protected His word through the generations, so that while we do not have the original manuscripts, the ancient Biblical manuscripts have been protected and guarded from any significant error.

Protestant

We affirm the Protestant Reformation as a return to the centrality of Scripture for the Church of the Lord Jesus, and a necessary reform for those who desire to be faithful to the Lord and His Word.

Evangelical

We believe that true saving faith comes through the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit given to believers on the basis of Christ’s death on the cross for those who trust in Him.

Creedal

We hold to the great creeds of the Christian faith (not as above the Scripture, but as right and necessary deductions from the Scripture as subservient documents), believing that it is right for believers to be grounded in the solid doctrinal confessions that have defined evangelical and reformed faith, including the Apostle’s Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Westminster Standards.

Reformed

We believe that the Scripture teaches that the Lord is sovereign over all things. It is our desire to exalt Him as the Creator and Sustainer of all things, and to praise Him for the Great Salvation that He extends to us in Christ. We hold to the Five Solas of the Reformation and believe that we are to be always reforming in our adherence to the Word of God.

Presbyterian

We believe that the Scripture teaches that it is the Lord’s will that His Church be governed by Pastors and Elders (the word ‘presbyterian’ comes from the Greek word for elder). We are a member congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America.

Traditional

Our Worship Service is a traditional Service with a Call to Worship, the singing of Hymns and Psalms (ordinarily accompanied by organ or piano), Prayers, Scripture Readings, Historic Creeds and a sermon based on a text of Scripture.
